Piña Colada Dinners
Guided by Piña Colada founder, Kati Schmidt.
Oh hey, SF! We haven't quite reached you yet. In lieu of our presence, meet Piña Colada.
Piña Colada connects groups of six like-minded singles over great food in San Francisco’s best restaurants.
The Piña Colada matching survey is based on the International Personality Item Pool Big-Five Factor Markers, developed by Goldberg (1992) – the best accepted and most commonly used model of personality in academic psychology.
Global research has shown that five personality variables help explain someone’s personality: extraversion, emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness and intellect.
While they are not aiming to match you with singles that show an identical degree of these five variables, renowned relationship psychologists have concluded that singles that are within a closer range of each other’s traits, are more compatible.
Everyone who is attending the group dinner is single, within your age range, lives within your proximity and they also try to keep a gender balance according to your interests.

This is what Maggie, a previous Piña Colada dinner guest from Oakland, said about her first group dinner date:
Such a lovely time spent over beautiful food. It was thrilling to enter a vulnerable space with 5 strangers, and I was pleasantly surprised at how compatible the entire table was. The icebreakers were great and the food was really something special; I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
