DWC 062: Loving After Divorce with Dilia Jelen
When Dilia Jelen and her former husband split many were left confused and in the dark. The two were publicly known in New York City for the work they did together to provide education, healing, and love to children of abuse, extreme poverty, and human trafficking.
Dilia was the Director of Marketing and a full-time volunteer. Her ex-husband, the founder. They supported over 13,000 kids in 29 countries, including the United States.
To Christina, they were relationship role models. Feminine Weapon Day, an initiative dedicated to 'battling the ills of the world through love' which Christina began in 2014, has raised over $75,000 for the children the couple once served together. Their breakup was reality-shaking.
The divorce left Dilia without money and in depression. Now, having done work to heal herself, Dilia is ready to get back to the children, entrusting Christina and the listeners of this podcast with her story.
Dilia, now newly married to a loving partner, is the founder of ARTEAMOR, a 501c3 that brings art, healing, and transformational workshops to the children she began serving over a decade ago. Together, through Feminine Weapon Day on January 30th, Christina and a tribe of loving humans will raise funds for ARTEAMOR to provide children with Relationship Skills and Workshops like those featured on wedeepen.com (redesigned for kids).
